Souriau’s UTS Hi-Seal range of waterproof light-weight industrial plastic circular connectors, compatible with MIL-DTL-26482 types, has solder bucket contacts pre-loaded so that the unit can be sealed in the manufacturing process therefore offering IP68/IP69K environmental protection in both mated and unmated state.



Souriau’s UTS Hi seal range from In2Connect offers the solution to applications requiring interconnects to be sealed in both mated or unmated conditions when subjected to water immersion or high pressure cleaning.

Specially designed for immersive applications such as water treatment or liquid flow-rate measurement, this new connector features IP68 sealing at all times. The cavities of the uts elastomer insert holding the contacts of these new connectors ensure perfect sealing of receptacle and plug, even when the connector is disconnected. Water ingress is prevented.

The UTS Hi seal connector is intermateable with metal Mil-C 26482 connectors and is available in 21 arrangements, sizes 8, 10, 12, 14 or 18, with 2 to 30 contacts in screw nut or square flange receptacle. Gold plated solder-bucket contacts are supplied as standard but crimp or dip-solder contacts are also available upon request. Jam nut and square flanged receptacles with PC tail contacts and optional board locks for secure mechanical retention and consistent board height are available to protect electronics inside equipment/boxes in wet, corrosive and tight-space conditions.

The UTS Hi seal connector naturally benefits from the IP68 or IP69K sealing performance of the UTS range. This ensures stable characteristics on immersion at a depth of 10m and during high-pressure cleaning at up to 140 bar.

This sealing is dynamic, meaning in practical terms that it is maintained even when the cable is pulled in any direction. The material is a high-performance plastic with excellent impact and vibration resistance and a wide working temperature range (­ 40 °C to 105 °C). The UTS Hi seal connector is also resistant to salt spray (500 hours) and UV, giving greater reliability in outdoor use.

The connector has the particularly ergonomic “TRIM TRIO®” family locking mechanism: 1/3-turn bayonet locking with a tactile and audible click ensuring proper connection. It is guaranteed for 250 mating cycles.

The design is based on the MIL-DTL-26482 standard for metal style bayonet connectors. (equivalent standards are: NFC 93422, HE301B, BS9522-F0017, VG95328).

UTS Hi seal plastic connectors are therefore the perfect solution to overcome Sealing, corrosion, RoHS and ESD problems.
