Description
The ultimate in robustness, these One27 SMT PCB connectors with a pitch of 1.27 mm set out to offer the widest range of connection types and plug versions possible, while keeping the pitch as small as possible. They are ideally suited for use in a number of mezzanine, board-to-board, and board-to-cable applications in SMT and offer easy processing. What’s more, they are compatible with equivalent 1.27 mm SMT connectors from ERNI and Harting thus providing second sourcing options with a short delivery. With a pin count ranging from 12 to 80, there are three different types available to choose from, both male or female and they all offer absolutely secure mating. It is possible to implement board-to-board distances ranging from 8 mm to 13.8 mm using One27 PCB connectors, with a secure mating tolerance of 1.5 mm. This means that male and female connectors can be separated by up to 1.5 mm and still guarantee an optimal, reliable contact. Furthermore, the heights of the low-profile One27 and the mid-profile One27 can be combined with one another in four ways, enabling the implementation of different PCB distances. In addition, a female One27 IDC version is available both loose or as a customised cable assembly. For optimal handling of the SMT PCB connectors, the deviation from coplanarity is only 0.1 mm, while offering an amazing capture range of ±0.7 mm and ±4° (longitudinal) and ±2° (transversal). The connection produced by One27 connectors is established by means of a double-sided (dual beam) female contact that envelops the contact pin of the male connector and is plugged on the smooth, rolled surface of the female contact. Wear and tear of the contact surfaces and shavings become a thing of the past when using One27 connectors.
The connectors can be shipped in tape-and-reel packaging, allowing for fully automatic pick-and-place processing. There are positioning pins on the underside of the One27 connectors, which guarantee exact positioning on the circuit board. The One27 connectors’ contact design has been optimized for automatic optical inspection (AOI) following soldering. The contacts of the angled One27 PCB connectors are arranged so that it is possible to perform an automatic optical inspection from one side.
