Description

Description

The Nicomatic CMM 220 system is a low cost 2mm pitch connector with reliability under the most extreme environmental conditions. Nicomatic CMM connectors are designed to meet or exceed electrical & mechanical performances of MIL-DTL-55302F and BS-9525-F0033 standards so are designed for use in aerospace, instrumentation and control, military and transportation sectors with applications to date including IFES, HUD, flight controls, FADEC units, radar, missiles, optoelectronic sighting systems, space satellites, mobile radios, power supplies, UAVs and engine controls. The Nicomatic CMM 220 range is similar to the popular McMurdo M200 and Harwin Datamate 2mm series, but offers ‘mixed layout’ capabilities, 4 to 60 LF contacts, or up to 15 HF or HP contacts (series 30), hence providing the designer with a choice of High Frequency, High Power, Low Frequency and Fibre Optic in a common, space saving footprint. Termination styles are also available for through-hole, surface mount and press-fit. These connectors will intermate with similar ranges like those from Harwin and ATI. An integral jacking mechanism provides security to the mated pair from the effects of vibration, whilst a high temperature insulator allows infrared or vapour phase soldering.

Applications

Applications

Nicomatic CMM micro-connectors are designed to meet or exceed the relevant electrical and environmental performances described in MIL-DTL-55302F and BS9525-F0033 standards. These connectors are much used in PCB applications where vibration could cause breakdown to safety systems. The CMM 220 was developed for the aerospace, avionics, instrumentation & control, defence and transportation markets, with applications that include IFES, HUDs, flight controls, FADEC units, radars, missiles, electro-optical sighting systems, satellites, mobile radios, power supplies, UAVs and engine controls. It is also used in a growing number of medical, and telecom applications.
