ITW McMurdo Connectors has a history of design innovation in connector technology. McMurdo has designed, developed and produced a wide range of connectors for a broad spectrum of industries including aerospace, military, telecommunications and electronics.

 

ITW McMurdo (as McMurdo Ltd) first started manufacturing connectors in 1956. Since that time they have developed a range of connectors which has provided customers with high quality and reliable interface solutions and which appear on BOMs now being assembled worldwide. ITW McMurdo manufactures connectors to ISO 9001 using processes which include both automated and manual stages. Every product is fully tested before it leaves the manufacturing plant. As a prime franchised distributor for ITW McMurdo we pride ourselves in the relationship we have with all our customers, working closely with you and the factory to ensure that quality and delivery standards are maintained and to provide solutions to your problems.

ITW D-subs  ITW McMurdo D-sub I/O connectors

ITW supply a range of D subminiature connectors offering low cost stamped and formed contacts (100 mating operations) or built to order high precision machined contacts (500 mating operations). Available in standard and high density layouts with PC, right angled PC, solder bucket and crimp termination styles.

Micronector  Micronector 200, Micronector 300 and 220 

McMurdo Micronectors are a range of high specification, microminiature 1, 2 and 3 row x 2mm pitch connectors with a latching feature meeting the demanding performance requirements associated with avionics and high reliability COTS applications and interfacing with like products from Harwin, Nicomatic and ATI. The range includes straight PC, 90º PC or crimp contacts for 500 mating operations and the M200 and M300 can be released to BS9525-F0033. CMM220 are signal pin and/or mixed layout connectors with co-ax, high power or fibre optic contacts and an integral jacking mechanism.

D-subminiature connectors provide a favourable means of equipping electronic interfaces with different filter elements. Various filter technologies can be offered depending on the area of application and requirements. CONEC filter connectors are an effective solution to electromagnetic interference (EMI/RFI). Solder bucket, straight PCB and right angled PCB are available with C, LC and Pi filters.

Modular edgecards  McMurdo 'modular' edgecard connectors

McMurdo still control a range of 0.100" pitch connector mouldings which can be cut to any number of ways ranging up to 85 double or single sided; in a number of contact tail designs and with optional plastic or metal end feet.

McMurdo Red Range

"The" industrial rack and panel connector. The ITW McMurdo Red Range is heavy duty rectangular rack and panel line to line connector with low insertion and withdrawal forces. It is particularly suited for use in rugged conditions. These cost efficient rack & panel connectors are capable of handling 5 Amps per contact (all contacts simultaneously) at 100°C ambient and 750V rms.

McMurdo DIN 41612

DIN 41612, 2 part PCB edge connectors.

ITW offer both standard and reverse DIN 41612 solder style connectors which can be released to BS9525 F0004. These connectors are both 2 and 3 rows - 32, 48, 64 and 96 ways with the choice of straight PC, 90º PC or Wire Wrap contacts sutable for 50, 400 and 500 operations.

700 Series

McMurdo 700 Series

Still going strong after many years these 19 way rectangular 'blade' contact plugs (ex British Telecom 202 and 203 to spec. D2288 and D2289) with covers and latching springs are widely installed in hospital gas alarm and nurse call systems.
