| Instrument Cables
Calmont supplies SiliFlex wire and cable, an ultra-fine, limber stranded construction insulated by Silicone rubber and distinguished by its extreme limpness and flexibility. In addition to SiliFlex and SiliFlex ribbon cable (SiliFlex ribbon cable consists of individual conductors insulated with Silicone rubber, laid parallel and fused in an extremely flexible flat ribbon form), Calmont Wire and Cable manufactures three major types of instrumentation cable used in a wide spectrum of industries: sensor wire and cable, test and measurement cable and specialty wire and cable. Calmont's sensor wire and cable can be manufactured using a wide variety of conductors and insulations. Test and measurement equipment designed for high-end critical applications typically requires long life and high flexibility cable. Calmont often uses copper or stainless alloys to manufacture test and measurement cable, with flexible PVC, Silicone rubber and thermoplastic elastomer insulations. Shields may be served or braided construction. Calmont uses traditional materials for speciality wire and cable, such as PVC and polyurethane, along with more unusual materials such as Valox® resin, Ultem® polymer, Siltem® copolymer, cellulose acetate, Delrin® acetal homopolymer and Lexan® polycarbonate resin to meet demanding applications such as vacuum chamber, zero halogen and low water absorption. | |||

| Medical Cables
Because of their small size and extreme flexibility, Calmont uses SuperFlex, FluoroFlex or SiliFlex wires to construct medical cables. Standard insulated conductors are also available for applications where flexibility is a non critical requirement. FluoroFlex wire and cable combines Calmont's precision extrusion techniques, the superior properties of FEP Teflon®, and the durability of a highly stranded conductor. FluoroFlex wire and cable is small and lightweight, yet will withstand the severe and repeated flexing that usually destroys other fluorocarbon insulated wires. Calmont's medical cables are being used in a variety of applications such as:

| High Flex Robotics Cables
Calmont Wire and Cable supplies flexible, high strength, small and durable cables for automated robotic applications. For extreme flexibility, long life and smaller conductors, Calmont manufactures robotic cable from high strand, high strength alloy conductors and thin walled Teflon® insulation. Silicone rubber adds superior chemical resistance, and polyurethane jacketing protects against abrasion, oil, notching, microbes and hydrolysis. Smooth surfaces prevent adhesion to adjacent cables. Calmont's robotic cables may be used with or without cable track and may be flat or round constructions, for example, robotic shielded single conductor, pair, triad and quad ribbon cable and robotic machine control cable. Typical applications for robotic cable include

Military and Defence Cables Calmont manufactures wire and cable specifically designed for the harsh environments associated with military and defense applications. Their quality assurance program is certified according to ISO 9001:2000. Their unique ability to construct custom cables utilizing off the shelf Mil Spec sub-components is invaluable when up against large minimum runs from QPL vendors. Calmont can manufacture to many of the older, more difficult to procure MIL specifications. Calmont is familiar with low smoke/halogen-free requirements of military cables and is very adept at manufacturing cables consistent with these requirements. They have years of experience manufacturing cables with materials that are free of reactive halogen-related elements of fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine, and astatine. If you need a cable that will be safer, healthier, and more environmentally friendly, consider a halogen-free option.
