Onder Kablo was founded in 1995 to manufacture exclusively Low Voltage 300, 500 and 1000 Volt Silicone insulated cables and harnesses specifically for Domestic Appliance OEMs and Lighting manufacturers who use their VDE approved SIF single core cables
in ovens, microwaves, irons, toasters, kettles, water
boilers,
tea makers, air conditioning units, heaters and infrared heaters; plus multicores in lighting fittings. Onder Kablo has since added gaskets for ovens, silicone profiles and silicone tubes to it's production range.
Silicone rubber is an inorganic synthetic elastomer made from a crosslinked silicon-based polymer reinforced with filler. It offers a unique combination of chemical and mechanical properties that organic elastomers cannot match.
Silicone insulated and sheathed multi-core cables offer electrical engineers and specifiers a superb range of options. Ideally suited to high or low temperature applications, these cables will work between -60°C and +180°C with short time for operation to +400°C. Their thermal stability means that Silicone cables are suitable wherever they may be subjected to extreme temperature changes in challenging environments. At these extreme temperatures, the tensile strength, elongation, tear strength and compression set can be far superior to conventional rubbers plus silicone cables will resist cracking. When exposed to fire silicone cables produce minimal smoke or fumes: are inherently halogen-free and are therefore popular in areas of public concourse like retail and office buildings and mass transit applications like rail, road and metro. They solve a diverse range of problems in the steel and aviation industries, ship building; cement, glass and ceramics manufacture; Class F & H motor leads; household appliances like ovens and washing machines; the lighting industry; the automotive industry, medical equipment (they don't support microbiological growth) and food processing.
Onder also manufacture cables which are able to operate under fire conditions for 180 minutes, these embody , single or multicore, tinned electrolytic copper conductors, halogen free insulation, halogen free tape on the core; have a special halogen free outer braid and are tested to FE 180 and F90 standards, .
